서른 하나. 이태원 Gcontemporary와 영원한 빛/External Light

지난 2주일 전, 12월 14일 G Contemporary 문화 공간의 오프닝과 Vivian Choi 갤러리가 주관하는 한호작가의 개인전 "영원한 빛/External Light" 전시를 다녀왔다. G Contemporary는 경리단 길에 생긴 문화공간으로, 전시장과 루프 톱, Highend 오디오가 갖춰진 프라이빗 아트 룸이다. 앞으로 새로운 문화 콘텐츠와 라이프스타일을 선보일 예정이라고한다.

 

 

 

"영원한 빛/External Light" 한호의 전시는 빛을 주제로 빛의 인공적, 자연적 요소를 회화에 접목해 예술로 승화하여 새로운 미디어 아트 분야의 문을 열었다. 전시를 통해 뉴미디어 아트에 중심을 가지고 있는 모습을 보여주었다.

 

캔버스 위에 한지를 한 겹 바른 후 먹과 목탄으로 그림을 그린 후에 캔버스에 무수한 구멍을 뚫고, 캔버스 안으로 LED 조명을 설치하여 조명의 색깔, 주변의 환경, 그리고 바라보는 각도에 따라 다양한 메세지를 전달할 수 있는 작품들이 많았다. "External Light"을 통하여 한호 작가는 "영원한 빛은 인간과 자연에 생명을 불어넣는 원천으로 빛이 인간에게 선사하는 희망, 몰입 카타르시스등을 작품을 통해 표현한다고 한다."

 

새로운 문화공간과 색다른 작품들로부터 새로운 생각과 기회들을 얻어가는 것같다. 예술 문화는 항상 우리와 멀리 있는 것이 아닌 일상 속에 있다. 전시는 2018년 1월 14일까지 하니 경리단 길을 방문할 계획이 있으면 겸사겸사 들려 구경하면 좋겠다.

New Culture Venue

G Contemporary and HanHo

 

Last 2 weeks ago, December 14th, I participated in G Contemporary's Art space opening and saw the arts from HanHo's personal exhibition "External Light". G Contemporary is a new culture venue at Gyeonglidangil-street at Itewon. G Contemporary has exhibition space, loof top, highend audio, and private art room. G Contemporary will show the new contents and life styles.

 

External Light is consisted of light which different colors and directed colors from artists. Arts are combined with netural and artificial. Thus, I could say it opens new parts of art or called new medai arts.

 

 

 

Traditional Korean papers are pasted on the canvas then draw with tusche and charocal. After that artist makes small wholes which lights on. Therefore, people can see the different lights and mood from the arts. It delivers the messages about traditional.

 

I had gain something from new art space and something different art works. I believe that art and cultures are not so far from us. Art spaces are always opened to people. Thus, if you have plane to go Gyonglidangil street, go visit the new venue and arts.
