작가들 위한 장소,

연희동 도깨비 예술마을

 

한국에서의 예술가, 작가분들은 경제적으로 힘든 부분이 많아 보인다. 유명하지 않고, 미디어 노출이 되지 않은 분들일 수록 자신의 메세지 전달하기 힘들다고 생각된다. 더욱이 경제적 문제로 인해 하고싶은 일을 못하는 경우도 일어 난다.

 

이를 지원해주는 정부, 단체와 재단을 많이 볼 수 있다. 서울 동대문 DDP, 신촌, 홍대, 여의도에서의 프리마켓등 작가들이 조금더 경제적 여유를 가질 수 있는 여러 행사와 활동들을 볼 수 있다. 연신내에서 올해 처음 주최된 "작가들의 부업"을 다녀오며 여러생각을 하게되었다.

 

I think that some artists have economic difficulties. Of course not at all. I mean that artists are hard to grow up in Korea. They need not only to be famous but also to be exposured at mass media for taking their place. I believe if they are not famous or popular artists, their inflences would be weakness to send their messages. Also, if they have economic difficulrites, they would not do their work what they want to do.

 

Definitely, the goverment and organizations which realted with arts support the artists. DDP, Sinchon, HongDae, and Yeoudio provide the places where hold freemarket and some activities for artists and people. From this supports, artists have an opportunity to make a money. I have been visited the first market, called "Sideline of Artists".

 

 

서대문구와 연희도깨비예술마을 운영위원회의 주최와 한국문화재단의 후원으로 연신내에 "작가들의 부업" 1회가 개최되었다. 약 10개의 조그만한 부스로 이루어져 다양한 작가들의 각양각색의 작업품들을 볼 수 있었다. 의류, 케리컬처, 엽서, 도예작품등 만나 볼 수 있었다.

 

처음으로 개최되어 사람들이 많이 없었다. 하지만 참여를 했다는 것에 만족하는 작가분들도 볼 수 있었다. 작은 시작일지라도, 점차 크게 변할 수 있는 가능성을 가진 자리라고 생각한다. 작가들이 일어날 수 있는 자리를 만드는 것만으로도 예술 문화에 영향을 주는 좋은 첫 발걸음이라고 생각한다.

 

이제 시작된 "작가들의 부업", 앞으로 더 사람들이 많이 찾고 작가들도 더 많아져 하나의 새로운 문화를 이끌어 나갔으면 하는 바램이다.

 

Seodamun-gu and organizaiton of Yeonhui gobline art hold "Sideline of Artists" with supporting Korea Culture Foundation. Around 10 booths are preapared and 10 artists are participated in there. They show their works such as clothes, postcard, and carrickculture.

 

It is the first exhibition. So, people don't know what it is for, and where it is. However, artists seem to be happy and excited as participating in it. I believe that this exhibition gives an opportunities to become huge exhibition. This exhibition is the first step that artists grow up.

 

I hope that next exhibition will be famous and many people will come and enjoy it. This first step will make another new culture.
